For more than three decades, Nick has been John Digweed’s studio partner and the other half of Bedrock: the production partnership behind some of the genre’s most defining records.

Together, Digweed and Muir created “For What You Dream Of,” first featured on Sasha & John Digweed’s landmark Renaissance mix compilation and later immortalized in the film Trainspotting. They followed it with classics including “Heaven Scent,” “Emerald,” “Beautiful Strange” and “Santiago”. These records helped to establish the deep, hypnotic and emotionally powerful sound now known around the world as Bedrock.

Their partnership continues today. Nick remains a vital creative force behind the Bedrock sound, producing and collaborating with artists including Hernán Cattáneo, Guy J, Franky Wah, Marc Romboy, Darren Emerson and Eagles & Butterflies. In 2025, he joined Digweed and Spencer Brown for “Relentless,” another expansive progressive Bedrock Records release.

Behind the decks, Nick brings the same musical instinct and studio craftsmanship to the dance floor. His sets move through deep house, progressive, melodic and driving techno—building a journey rather than simply moving from track to track. 

Opening the night is Jereme Oliver, curator of the Artilect Mix Series and one of Winnipeg’s most respected tastemakers in underground electronic music. Expect a seamless opening session through some deep progressive sounds before Nick takes us into the world of Bedrock. For those who know the records (and those ready to discover where this sound came from) this is a rare opportunity to experience one of progressive music’s true pioneers in an intimate setting.
