You are invited to a screening of the feature-length documentary “Standing Free” by Ukrainian-Canadian filmmaker Maxim Khomenko.
The film captures the resilience, strength, and humanity of Ukrainians during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Filmed across Ukraine, Poland, and Canada, the documentary follows refugees, soldiers, volunteers, and families who continue fighting for freedom every day.
Using personal footage, combat POV videos, archival materials, and real-life stories, the film offers an intimate and powerful look into the lives changed by war.
“Standing Free” is not only a documentary about war — it is also a cinematic bridge connecting Ukrainian culture with the world.
Previous screenings have helped raise funds for front-line medics and volunteers supporting Ukraine’s defense.
